TL;DR
Three screens. Every pixel earns its rent.
The portrait monitor on the right is the unlock — it's the perfect aspect ratio for long files, PR diffs, and the Linear ticket that kicked off the whole session. The main Apple display is for code and Claude. The second landscape is for running app + logs. The dog approves.
How I think about it
Real estate is attention
Each monitor has exactly one job. I never alt-tab between them — I physically move my head. The whiteboard behind the desk is for the system diagram that doesn't fit in any window. If I can't fit the architecture on the whiteboard and the three screens, the architecture is wrong.
