TL;DR

Custom everything. NixOS. A hand-wired keyboard.

Every piece of hardware has been modified, reupholstered, hand-wired, or salvaged from e-waste. The keyboard is a 40% ortho I hand-wired on a rainy weekend. Claude on NixOS via WSL2-equivalent. The model rocket has nothing to do with coding. Or maybe it does.

How I think about it

Understanding the machine is understanding the code

I build my own hardware because I want to know how things work all the way down. Same reason I use NixOS. Same reason I write explicit CLAUDE.md files that explain the entire build system. You can't prompt well about things you don't understand.
